Last week I had the privilege of meeting Jade for her senior photos. We had a bit of scheduling difficulty as all the days we picked got rained out in October, but we were able to make great use of a chilly but sunny November afternoon for her photo shoot.
Jade chose to have her photos taken at Maywood H. May Environmental Park in Sheboygan, which is a lovely rustic park on the north side of the city with plenty of great locations and backdrops for photography! I haven’t shot there in many years, so I was really looking forward to this shoot!
Jade is finishing up her senior year at Sheboygan North High School. She is very outgoing, friendly and full of smiles! Although she’s not involved in a lot of extra-curricular activities, she loves basketball and watching sports. After graduation, Jade would like to attend culinary school or become a CNA.
Jade and I discussed outfits ahead of time, so I had a good idea what she would be wearing. She wanted to be sure we got some shots in her favorite dress, even though it was chilly, and overall tried to keep her look casual, which I think she did great! I brought a handful of vintage quilts from my collection and we bundled up in between locations to keep warm. I chose quilts that complimented Jade’s clothing choices for this shoot and love the results!
I love that Jade went with a really fresh face, wearing only mascara to show off her eyes. She kept her jewelry simple as well, choosing a beautiful silver bracelet to compliment her clothing choices. Sometimes less is more and Jade’s photos are a great example of that – they show off her natural beauty, and I must say, she’s stunning!
Here’s some of the best shots we got from our afternoon!
